Farewell Rooey

Farewell Rooey.
St Kilda champion Nick Riewoldt is set to announce his retirement.
One of the indelible images amid a remarkable career is Riewoldt missing the goal on the goal line in the grand final.
St Kilda lost the grand final to Geelong after leading at three quarter time, a rare occurrence.
Time and tide wait for no man (or woman).
Riewoldt was the spiritual heart and soul of St Kilda, along with former great Lenny "Isaac" Hayes.
Vale Nick.

I recall meeting a St Kilda player at the height of their finals campaigns, and when I mentioned I supported RFC he thought it was amusing.
Time is merciless.
The goal line smother was by Heath Shaw.
The rest is history.

Brilliant player, one of my favorite non tigers. That mark running back with the flight against the swans is the most courageous act I've seen on a footy field.

It was his running ability that had me in awe. Repeated long leads from forward to the wing running his opponent into the ground.

Marvellous

I was impressed by his nude photo.
If you're committed enough, you can make any story work.

I once told a woman I was Kevin Costner, and it worked because I believed it.

Certainly a modern great. He has played for years with a bung knee but still ran a massive amount of kms in a match
