I have it from somebody I trust who spoke with him directly soon after it happened.

Ultimately though, I can't say for sure as I'm not the direct source.

I wish the man no ill will, he gave us an awful lot.

And if Deledio returns for GWS in round 19, plays a great finals campaign, including kicking four goals in a preliminary final when they defeat us by a point?
We'll see I guess

I reckon he did, he like many were sick of the sideways and backwards gameplan and were fed up with it, if he had of known Caracella was coming on baord and developed what we have now he would have chose to stay.

I suspect the reality of what happened is that those running RFC are not quite as dumb as they seem.

Despite their public face, they knew the team was going to need to rebuild and was going to slide, so moving Deledio to get a young midfielder in was a smart move.

For his part Deledio would have seen a chance to have a crack at a flag before he finished.

What has happened is a number of things have come into play to boost us: the competition has been more even, some good teams have dropped away, Dusty has gone to another level and our young players have reached a level faster than anticipated.
If you're committed enough, you can make any story work.

And the game plan got the overhaul it was crying out for...

The Caracella factor.
