Who has over and underperformed in 2017 AFL season so far?

NOT all wins are created equal.
With more than half of all AFL clubs having played half of their games for the year, it’s a good time to take stock in how they’re all travelling.

But every side’s performance can only be evaluated against what has been expected of it; North Melbourne fans would be much happier with their 4-7 start than Hawthorn fans are, for example.

So let’s evaluate how every club is going through the achievement ladder. It rates the teams from first to worst in terms of whether they’ve delivered above or below what was expected of them.

Injuries matter, but they’re not an excuse. Let’s get to it.....

Well we can safely put Max Laughton in the "never to be read again" category of 'journos'....
GWS flaw was depth....wow. Where has he been? The best 22 in the game (yep), then a bunch of rookies??? WTF?

Top 2 picks in their first year of footy are, by the North American definition, rookies, but by the AFL definition, they are ready to play, guns that can zip around in great teams getting no attention from the opposition and it usually results in fast tracked development.

Dumb story. Achievement vs reality? Achievement is reality....the ladder is the ladder. If North Melbourne fans are happy about being 4 and 7 then the two of them are dumber than I thought they were.

Time for some performance assessments in the Y&B 2017 B&F Award.

Or as I like to call it... The Y&B Nedal

@thebigricho - Been disappointing. The Big Fella has clearly underperformed since he magically lost his oompa loompa shade of orange.

A possible delisting looms at the end of 2017 unless he can quickly recapture his Y&B 2016 B&(un)F winning form.

@Vines - The Tassie Tiger has been patchy at best in 2017 but just when he's on the verge of being omitted to 'Punt Road End' ...he delivers some gold.

Remains on notice and a one year contract for 2018 is the best he can hope for.

@17Sash - Ok , so perhaps quantity over quality isn't everyone's cup of tea and he occasionally has trouble understanding the gameplan , but you can't dispute his endeavour. The kid's got heart.

Will never win a B&F but is shaping as the early favourite for The Coach's Award.

@Broadsword - It pains me to say it coz he's been the coach's pet , but he's almost a certainty to be delisted.

Clearly disinterested , to the point where it appears that he's not even trying.

@Graeme Bowman - Archie Bowman ? What can you say ?

The man's producing Dusty Martin like numbers numbers on Y&B in 2017. His Champion Data stats are off the chart.

Unbackable for the Y&B 2017 B&F so I'd suggest perhaps taking him in a quinella with @TigerHardwick

His form has been solid and consistent as always. He's the Corey Enright of Y&B.
