2017 VFL RFC v Willie

If so, wouldn't you also expect the latter to generally run over the top of the non-aligned team as the game wears on? (Maybe this happens – I just don't know that much about the different VFL sides, etc.)

what might happen with the non-aligned teams is they don't carry the "project " players and the restricted game time players that the AFL affiliated sides have to

Big Grin

Perhaps 'Joe' would be a better nickname for him ?

As in Joe Average.

But generally, the non-aligneds will have more mature players with bigger bodies on their lists, whereas aligneds tend to have the newer and younger draft picks.

Exactly.

All the young blokes in the magoos are managed and have only had one or two preseasons but they're coming up against players who've had ten.

Right next to the Tiges bench for the second quarter, abusing umpires.

For those knocking Corey/Silk, I suggest you go watch him play. When he got the ball he shredded Willy. Just didn't get it enough. The pass for Elton's second goal was exquisite. He would have been in at least 8 scoring chains. He just creates.

And he went and went hard and took a couple of big hits right in front of me. Also backed into a pack to take a strong mark, no flinching.

Ump # 9 should be relegated to Auskick. An absolute oxygen thief.

Hope you are right HK - he's looked as soft as butter to me on multiple occasions, runs very wide - and his silky skills have looked no better than average - particularly when under pressure.

He is sorely needed to hit strong form in the twos and then be able to bring that form up a level within the next couple of years.

He's the one we need to knock Houli out of the ones, but he's not close yet.

We need to draft Kane Farrell, who is rated the best left foot kick in Australia to upgrade both of them in 2 years time.
If you're committed enough, you can make any story work.

I once told a woman I was Kevin Costner, and it worked because I believed it.
