2017 VFL Round 3 RFC v Port
#1
Getting in early here. This is the double header that is not played in the same state unfortunately. Two top of the ladder shoot outs - the ones against a dominating Crows outfit, while the Magoos take on Port - 2v1 and 1v2.

Game is on Saturday 29 April at 2pm, at North Port Oval. Richmond do not have another home game until Round 7, hosting Werribee at Holm Park (Werribee may be hard pressed to get there in time).

Port have had an interesting start, struggling in the final quarter of their first game against the Northern Blues. Lisle kicked a bag of seven, but was quiet in their dominating game against Geebung at Simmonds. Expect him to turn it around.

Will be a tough match for the Magoos. The selection table will either add to that difficulty or provide a little relief.

Expect Vlaustin to return to the Seniors, meaning Lego may be back in the twos. Hard call will be what to do with Todds, given his distinct lack of form in the seniors, but no obvious replacement with Griff out. Do they try with the other Ben, who had a fairly lack-lustre performance (13 disposals - 10 kicks, 3 handballs, 4 marks and 1 tackle for a return of 1.1) or do we give Marbs another shot (7 disposals - 6 kicks, 1 handball, 4 marks and 4 tackles for a return of 3.0)?

And what of Snipper who can't crack a seniors spot, but doesn't get a game in the twos because he is an emergency? Can't see Towner getting a call up against the Crows, but Corey may have done enough.

Outs: Griffiths (concussion), Maric (seniors recall), Miles (seniors emerg)
In: Todds, Markov

Elton not named in the extended squad. Forgot about Nathan D Sad

This is a strong squad for a top of the table tussle.

Anyone hear Darley on SEN in the VFL segment? Spoke highly of Wood and Ballard as the big bodies in the middle, and was happy to watch the Stengle/Bolton show up forward.
