Poor Hampson.

A month on the LTI list and it's like everything he worked to build has been forgotten.
If you're committed enough, you can make any story work.

I once told a woman I was Kevin Costner, and it worked because I believed it.

That's a bit harsh TBR ... he clearly has been where many of us would have given our lefty for...

A heart-breaking loss for St Kilda.
The loss to Melbourne in round one was bad enough, but this was gut-wrenching.
This is a major year for St Kilda, they need to step up, after years of enjoying "emerging team" status.
Richardson's rate of wins as coach is 32 per cent.
A saving grace is they play Brisbane next week and should win.
After that, they are fortunate to play away, against Collingwood, at Etihad.

So the big question about @#%&wood was the 0 - 2 start and how only Sydney have started 0 - 2 and made the finals in the last 10 years. Now we also have Saints, Sydney and Hawthorn 0 - 2

Does that mean there are only 14 sides left in the finals race?

Excellent comment @Gracie
If Sydney defeats C'wood it is probably curtains for Buckley.
He is a decent man but should never have been appointed senior coach as part of an internal promotion.
I suspect McGuire will go too.
He was apoplectic with rage the other night.
If Richardson fails to deliver at St Kilda, cherished son Robert Harvey would probably step up.
Richardson has 22 wins over three years.

Eddie was reappointed a month ago. He's going nowhere.

No sporting venture to the Gold Coast has ever worked and never will.

Every VFL team would've beaten them today.

They were an absolute rabble and what's worse than that is they weren't even trying !

The epitome of that obvious lack of any sort of effort was to watch the highest paid player in the AFL masquerade as a footballer today.

We can help them do that by poaching their FF

An in my opinion piece

Been able to catch a few games this weekend
Us v pies
Bullies v swans &
Lions v bombers

I think as always at the start of the season you like to work out who is top 4 who is in the cellar and who might scramble into a top 8 that wasn't there last year

The easy one
Swans Bulldogs , it jumped out at me these are top 6 sides , fairly slick with skills , quick ball movement and the big one accountability all over the ground
And they are not fully wound up
The umpires get a D mark , over the top with their obsession of the week incorrect disposal

Bombers lions
Entertaining game , the lions have a list they can work with
I expect both side to be plucky at times and probably fade in 2nd half of season due to young players and lack of success
Both teams to be 10th -16th

Us v pies
I've had lots of comments " you must be happy , nice win.."
My reply has been yes but
Pies clearly a bottom half of the ladder side , they are a relatively settled side and what we saw , it is pretty much all they can give
While we can refine many aspects of our game , we have depth and there is an air of hope around the club so that should keep driving us forward
Collingwood 8th -16th
And before people start trashing 16th , if things spiral downwards and Bucks gets axed they cop a few injuries , they could well end up "playing the kids" and be lucky to win a game in the back half of the season , not saying such a proud club would tank

Us , we have a long way to go , i think we can wave the bottom 4 good bye for this year , saw enough of it last year
6th -12th
I feel the need , The need for SPEED

Warnie is in shock.
St Kilda were expected to make finals this year, missing out narrowly last year.
The Melbourne loss was bad.
Last night was worse.
They led until the 20-minute mark of the final quarter.
Richardson has 22 wins from 67 matches.
Robert Harvey could be a replacement coach.
I said if Buckley fails, McGuire should go, as in the right thing to do. The two are linked.
C'wood management is dysfunctional, so he would stay.
