Y&B Phantom Competition
With the other draft virtually completed, now is the time to ask for interested parties, for a phantom competition that is only available for 10 members, 8 of which have already been taken in myself, Lisa, Luke n Cogz, shvtech, iwannab, Damo11, proffessional optimist & FightingFury. So there are only 2 spots available on a first in basis.
The commitment means online availability on Wednesday 10th March at 7pm for a couple of hours to perform the draft of 23 players each and the ongoing submission of your team each week of the home and away season.
Stats are based on the AFL-Sun paper stats(same as the online AFL ones). Everyone picks a squad of 23 players, I'll do a draw for draft order, selections are 1-10, 10-1, 1-10 etc. Each week you select 3 forwards points for goals(6pts) & behinds(1pt), 3 midfielders kicks(1pt) & handballs(1pt), 1 ruckmen hitouts(1pt) & marks(1pt), 2 tacklers(tackle = 3pts) and 2 emergencies 1st emerg moves into the position of the highest position lost ie FMRT.
You only gets points awarded to you for the discipline they are selected in. You dont get points for their stats in the others.
F Fevola 6g1b = 37pts
F J Brown 4g2b = 26pts
F N Riewoldt 3g3b = 21pts
M Ablett 20k10h = 30pts or 5g0b
M Swan 15k16h = 31pts or 5g1b
M Cooney 10k 11h = 21pts or 3g3b
R Sandilands 3m25ho = 28pts or 4g4b
T Kirk 6t = 18pts or 3g0b
T Cassisi 5t = 15pts or 2g3b
E Goodes
E Deledio
Total score = 35.17.227
Where there are split rounds or early game rounds ie R1 Thursday game, you pick an emergency for each position eg eF eM eR eT & the 2 usual emergencies as back up.
F Fevola
F J Brown
F N Riewoldt
eF L Franklin
M Ablett
M Swan
M K Cornes
eM Cooney
R Sandilands
eR Cox
T Kirk
T Cassisi
eT J Bolton
E Goodes
E Deledio
Midseason draft after R9 where you need to delist a player to get a pick with the bottom team getting first pick and so forth back up the ladder, this draft is 10th-1st, 10-1 etc.
There is also a published draw for the season where you play each of your 9 rivals twice. R19 is the 1st semi, R20 2nd semi, R21 Prelim R22 Grand final. No draws in the finals, the higher placed team over the h&a season, wins.
After each round the weekly match scores & ladder is published on the thread. Teams must be entered onto the thread before 5pm usually on the day of the first match of the start of the round. The teams are locked in after this time. If people are away from a pc or heaven forbid y&b is offline they will need to call in or send an email to myself.(We'll exchange details on acceptance into the comp).
I think I have covered most of the major detail of the comp here, please let me know with a post in this thread asap, if you are interested and are able to commit to the times above, to becoming involved.

Re: Y&B Phantom Competition
My mistake. I thought from the title it would be questions like what was the name of the Phantom's dog and what name did he himself use when incognito.

Re: Y&B Phantom Competition
I thought it would be a contest between members to see who looked the best in a purple full body lycra suit

Re: Y&B Phantom Competition
Looks like I've logged on at just the right time. Count me in Crush if you still have a spot. Might need a reminder, have moved over to Karratha W.A. so will need to do some research!
